our restaurant all round site an ancient city cover place we have Sri Lankan and European food Anuradhapura is the spiritual centre for all Sinhalese Buddhists and one of the most archaeologically important ancient cities anywhere in the world. The extent of its decay make Anuradhapura harder to comprehend than the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, but its vast size makes it easier to get away from the crowds and you can sometimes find that you have the ruins of a 2000 year old palace or monastery all to yourself.
This is a great restaurant, it’s quiet and unassuming but the food is fantastic. It’s definitely worth a stop if you are travelling around the ancient city. This is a great place to stop and chill and escape from the sun. The food is very reasonably priced and the garden is beautiful, cool and calm. In addition, the service is very quick and the host is lovely, really friendly and helpful. The fruit juices are huge and delicious. I tried the coconut rotti, there was enough for 2. It makes a great snack if you’re feeling a bit peckish and is surprisingly filling.
